Neharu Center’s “Play Festival” dedicated to “Te”

Neharu Centre is going to celebrate its 12th Play Festival from 6th August, 2008 to 14th August, 2008. This year this festival is dedicated to a legend Vijay Tendulkar. Festival will start with Tendulkar’s play “Gidhade” which is also produced by Neharu Centre and also directed by Pramod Pawar.

Tedulkar’s “Sakharam Binder” also added to the festival. A video of play “Ghashiram Kotwal” which is presented by Theatre Academy is on 7th August, 2008 at 4.30 p.m in Discovery of India Building’s Hall of Harmony. An audio session of world famous director Peter Brook’s “Mahabharat” will be divided in two parts as on 9th and 10th August, 2008. From Marathi Theatre there you will see “Agnidivya”, “Adipashya”, “Upasana” and “Gosht Kunya Ekachi”. There will be plays from Bengali, Gujarati, Rajasthani and Punjabi Theatre.

Other plays like “Agni Mattu Malle” (Kannad) which is written by Girish Karnad, Vaman Kendre’s “Mohandas” (Hindi), Kotwal’s “Vajayna Monolog” (English) are also added to this festival. Festival will get ends on 14th August, 2008 with its own Musical Play “Upasana”. Tickets booking will starts from 4th August on ticket window of Neharu Centre.
