Milind Soman in Marathi Film “Gandh”

Milind Soman will be starring in his first ever Marathi film. The model-turned-actor has worked in many films in regional languages and is now set to make his debut in a Marathi movie. "I will be seen in the film Gandh which is an ensemble of three individual stories bound by characters and the sense of smell they experience. My story deals with urban and contemporary emotions," he adds. Speaking on his rather delayed entry in a film in his own language he says, "Although I have worked in a range of films including a Swedish and a Japanese movie, Marathi took a long time because there were no offers made earlier. This particular script fascinated me and I promptly accepted."

The actor who has earlier produced the movie Rules-Pyaar Ka Superhit Formula plans to churn out more films ahead. "I wish to produce more movies in the future. I am working on it for the moment," he adds. The actor is in the city at present shooting for his forthcoming film.

Soman is very fond of the city, "My Parents are from Pune. I know the city very well and have been visiting since childhood. We would hangout at Vaishali. The culture is very different over here, though sometimes the people can be a little khadus," he adds wearing the much-talked-about smile. "I doubt if the admirations continue anymore. I have had enough of them and I am old enough now," says the 42-year-old modestly.
